A little bit more about Paul Scott

Paul Scott is an artist best known for his research into ceramics and print and his series of work called Cumbrian Blue(s). His book Ceramics and Print first published in 1994 by A&C Black was the first to examine the synthesis of print and clay, and explores the basic concepts and methodologies involved.
He creates individual pieces that are exacting and critical, blurring the boundaries between fine art and design. In Scott’s own words “My work involves the digital manipulation of established vocabularies of printed motif, pattern and image from industrial ceramic archives and engraved book illustration. Cloning and collaging these, sometimes with photographic elements, I create contemporary artworks in ceramic and printed form.”
