Sean Madden - A Thing Called Love

The scorpions in this edition were all responsibly sourced by the artist and come from Malaysia where they are as common as flies.

The piece is called 'A Thing Called Love' (also a Johnny Cash melody)  and is basically inspired by the theme of 'addiction'..something that features quite heavily in  Brighton's zietgeist.

The obvious metaphors/references are probably drugs and relationships but I think it also addresses any 'vices' that an individual discovers he/she can't do without..even if they know that its detrimental to their well being. We've all been there.
