Street Art for Sale

Street art is an umbrella term for art developed in public spaces. Whereas Graffiti Art is primarily concerned with the use of free-hand spray paint to write words. Street Artists often produce work in studios and exhibited their art in traditional gallery settings, as well as operating directly in the public domain, with or without permission. Street Art is one of the fastest growing art movements, with the UK being home to a number of the leading lights. Street Art encompasses many different forms of media, techniques and a wide variety of subject matter. Stencils are often used by the likes of Pure Evil and Hutch, wheatpasted posters such as Sten and Lex, Stickers as Benjamin Murphy uses or more traditional spray paint like in the murals of REQ. Often Artists such as Ben Eine or Banksy will gravitate towards street art during their career having made their name writing graffiti.
