Our September show does exactly what its says on the tin....'Made in Brighton' is a celebration of the creativity and talent currently coming out of the city by the best of Brighton based artists.
Our aim is to create a snap shot of the city's art scene in paintings, prints, drawings, collage, sculpture and neon. All the artists have been set the same brief; 25 items of a certain size at the same very affordable price. You seriously won’t believe what you will be able to pick up! Each artist will also be submitting a piece to go into a very limited edition collectable box set.
Taking part in the show are James Cauty, Graham Carter, Modern Toss, Ben Allen, Hutch, Alex Binnie, Chris Kettle, Pinky, Andy Doig, Imbue, Screenprince , Maria Rivans, Mishfit, Sean Madden, REQ, Jim Saunders & T(error)ist.
UPSTAIRS @ Ink_d - REQ
In our gallery upstairs we continue with our love of everything local with the legend that is REQ. Req’s one line figures, originally developed in the 1990s, are reworked in new scenes for his show ‘Apparitions’ alongside his beautiful work on the female nude.
Req's figures represent a focal point of the feelings of Harmony and Mystery encountered during the artist’s wanderings around Brighton. These figures were designed primarily as a balance away from depictions of specific people towards a symbol of the feminine principle.
